For a whole morning we immerse in nature together. During forest school sessions we encourage the children to let their imagination run wild and free! Through exciting outdoor experiences and by embracing risky play, we incorporate learning in a safe and secure outdoor environment. Climbing trees, building shelters, whittling sticks, having a cup of hot chocolate together, cooking and stories around camp fires, listening to bird sounds, practising mindfulness, finding imaginative dragons, fairies and bears… Forest school is where everything is possible! All these learning opportunities contribute to a holistic development, creating all the necessary foundations young children need for their future. The outdoors is a truly amazing place for young children to grow and benefit from more enjoyable and memorable learning experiences. Through our forest school sessions, we want to connect children back to nature, we want to inspire them to live a naturally healthy lifestyle that builds self-esteem, resilience and confident learners.'

Neighbourhood Nursery Children and Mini Forest school

“If you go down in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise. If you go down in the woods today, you'd better go in disguise!” Through fascination, curiosity, stories and songs, we introduce Mini Forest Schools to our youngest children. Mini Forest School is a magical opportunity for Neighbourhood Nursery children to learn the Forest School way in our beautiful garden. This is a great stepping stone into Forest School where children learn key skills before they are able to go to the Malorees Orchard when they are of nursery age.
