Spring Term 2026 (Total days: 59)
Monday 5 January 2026 to Thursday 2 April 2026
Half Term: Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February 2026
Easter Holiday Friday 3 April 2026 to Friday 17 April 2026
Bank holidays: Friday 3 April 2026 and Monday 6 April 2026
Summer Term 2025 (Total days: 64)
Monday 20 April 2026 to Friday 24 July 2026
Half Term: Monday 25 May to Friday 29 May 2026
Bank holidays: Monday 4 May 2026 and Monday 25 May 2026
Please note schools are only required to open for 195 days of the 198 days set.
The total of 198 days are divided as follows:
- 190 Days = Pupil Days
- 5 Days = INSET Days (Teacher Training Days)
- 3 Days = Closure to observe religious festivals other than Christmas and Easter (optional).
Schools not taking up this option should finish the school year earlier on Tuesday 21 July 2026.
